Raw Chocolate Smoothie
A raw chocolate smoothie for all the chocolate lovers out there!
In a blender add:
1 large very ripe banana
(the body digests them better the more ripe they are, plus they’re sweeter)
A handful of frozen blueberries
1 heaped dessertspoon of raw cacao powder
1 heaped teaspoon raw cacao nibs
1 glass of filtered water
Whizz together for about 30 seconds until fairly smooth.
Pour into glasses or kilner jars and top with a sprinkling of your choice:
Try dessicated coconut, raw cacao nibs, broken toasted hazlenuts, bee pollen or freeze dried raspberry/strawberry pieces.
This makes a gorgeous (and healthy) breakfast treat, or a perfect mid afternoon snack for anyone trying to cut down their processed chocolate intake. It would also be a healthier alternative to evening munchies or rich chocolate desserts.
Naturally, it’s far lower in calories than a regular or king-size chocolate bar and contains only natural fruit sugars, plus plenty of fibre, water and vitamins, making this one chocolate treat that is nutritious and delicious!
