Breathe. Eat. Connect.

A half-day mini-retreat for women only: Saturday 15 July, 8.30am – 12pm

St Brelade, Jersey

A beautiful blend of traditional Indian Rishi-Culture Ashtanga yoga, a delicious plant-based Bowls of Soul brunch and the opportunity to connect with likeminded women in a safe, inspiring and relaxed space.

Imagine a lifestyle where you love and nourish your body daily with real food, create time for gentle breathing and yoga exercises and feel genuinely uplifted by the amazing women all around you. Wouldn’t it be good to ditch the diets and deprivation, the punishing gym routines and the overriding feeling of never being good enough?

  • Breathing is a vital life force for all human beings, yet how many of us actually focus on improving our breathing technique?
  • Eating is an essential part of survival, but how many people make the time to improve their knowledge and skills in nutrition, cooking and disease prevention?
  • Connecting to other people both physically, emotionally, spiritually and in business is an integral part of life on Earth, yet despite advances in communication technology we’re becoming more and more isolated, anxious and disconnected.

This is for you if:

  • You have a sneaky suspicion that yoga could help alleviate your aches and pains, morning stiffness and general inflexibility but haven’t tried yoga before or would like to add yoga to your weekly exercise routine.
  • You’d really like to learn some really simple healthy recipes to boost your health, energy levels and vitality but feel overwhelmed by the diet and nutrition ‘noise’ all around you.
  • You want to feel supported and inspired by your fellow sisters and are fed up with feeling like you have to look or act a certain way just to fit in.

Breathe. Eat. Connect. A mini retreat designed and led by Lorraine (Food Coach and founder of Bowls of Soul) and Tina (Yoga teacher) to bring women together, teach basic yoga breathing techniques and postures and share tasty, simple plant-based food in a tranquil location.

This event will take you from exhausted and overwhelmed to energised and inspired and ready to incorporate some of what you’ve learnt into your daily routine to boost overall well-being and vitality.

Breathe. Eat. Connect. takes place in St Brelade from 8.30am -12pm in a private garden location with a small group of up to 10 guests only. In addition to the event on the day, you’ll also receive ongoing support and inspiration from Lorraine and Tina’s private Facebook groups, plus a recipe e-book of all the dishes we share.

Where will the event be held?

In a private location in St Brelade. Full directions will be sent to you once you’ve purchased a ticket and payment has cleared.

What do I need to bring?

A yoga mat and towel, a bottle of water and a smile.

I’ve never done yoga before, will this be too difficult for me?

This yoga class focuses primarily on breathing techniques and postures that enhance breathing and flexibility. It is suitable for beginners. As long as you can sit on the floor, you’ll be fine. Come with an open mind and be prepared to learn something new.

I do a lot of yoga and fitness classes, will this be easy or boring for me?

There are many kinds of yoga and this event is more about reconnecting to yourself, to the Earth, to nature, to other women and to the food you eat. This is not about being able to bend into all kinds of pretzel positions, but simply focusing on being present and giving yourself time and space to just breathe.

What if I have to cancel on the day?

Sorry, but no refunds will be given 48 hours before the event. If you know in advance that you won’t be able to attend, your ticket is transferrable to another person (women over 18 years only). Please let us know the name of the person you’ve given your ticket to.
